Flamengo

Throughout its history, Flamengo won several Brazilian and international titles in the most diverse sports mode.

In soccer, it won 30 Rio de Janeiro State Championships, three of which two years in a row (1914-15, 1920-21, 1978-79) and four three times in a row (1942-43-44, 1953-54-55, 1978-79-79 special, 1999/2000-01), in addition to 18 Guanabara Cups and seven Rio Cups.

Flamengo is still the team that won the most Brazilian championships: It holds five titles (1980, 1982, 1983, 1987 and 1992). It was also the Brazil Cup winner in 1990 and 2006, and won the Champion’s Cup in 2001. Among its international titles are the Libertadores da América Cup (1981), the World Club Championship (1981) and the Mercosur Cup (1999), over and beyond 25 tournaments abroad.
