(1) This illustration is a replica of a fixed oil production platform made with the guidance of Petrobras Exploration and Production Engineering area professionals. This is not a defined platform, since it brings together several characteristics that exist in a few of the Company's platforms, but not necessarily in all, nor does it exhausts all oil production platform possibilities, since Petrobras, through its Research and Development Center, Cenpes, continually develops new oil exploration technologies and increasingly big depths.
(2) The proportions used in this illustration are those of a platform with the following characteristics:
- Total height (distance from the bottom of the sea tot the top of the tower): 300m;
- Depth (distance between the surface and the bottom of the sea): 170m;
- Emerged part (from the surface of the sea to the top of the tower): 130m;
- Tower height: 80m;
- Poles: penetrating up to 125m below the bottom of the sea;
- Total platform weight (dry): some 36,500 tons;
- Jacket weight: 26,700 tons
- Pole weight: 11,250 tons.
