Social Volunteers

In addition to being aligned to the guidelines, to the action plan, and to the performance lines of Petrobras’ Development & Citizenship Program, the Volunteerism actions, which are currently being reviewed, must be capable of understanding the local reality of the places where they perform, the public policies involved in the issues, and the possibilities of changing them.

The capacity to understand the local reality, the public policies, and the possibilities to change them require volunteering actions to acknowledge others, including the capacity to include others in the proposal to change such reality; qualified demand as the framework for a process of listening to the three sectors of the community (the public sector, businesses, and the civil society) to build an operational transformation and solidarity project; and the capacity to feel the suffering and the needs of others and to operate seeking to overcome them.
