Social projects
In the past five years, the company has invested $6 million in projects aimed at health, education, basic services, and environmental action, productive process development, and humanitarian assistance. The company also invests in cultural and sports projects in a few capitals.
These resources contributed to life quality improvements for more than 135,000 inhabitants of 22 communities and three intermediary cities in the Tarija department, as well as in the cities of Santa Cruz, La Paz, Cochabamba, and Tarija.
Jobs
In the past seven years, the operation Petrobras has developed in Bolivia has generated an average of more than 2,000 direct and 5,000 indirect jobs. Furthermore, its status as a company with a Bolivian brand is reflected in the composition of its workforce, since nearly 94% of its employees are Bolivian.
Foreign currency economy
The increased diesel production of the refineries allowed diesel import volume reduction and, consequently, helped prevent currency from leaving the country.
