Petrobras is committed, to the maximum possible extent, to offer its users content that is accessible to the population as a whole through its website (including those who have motor, cognitive or sensorial disabilities).
The Declaration of Accessibility briefly describes the points of attention taken into consideration during project development and which must not only be preserved but, if possible, enhanced during maintenance.
Declaration scope
This declaration covers Petrobras Bolivia’s website pages. It does not apply to minisites or hotsites that may be contained in it or in any other web page that may be accessed through the site.
Conformity
The accessibility points of attention that have been considered are based on the recommendations set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility (WCAG 1.0) Guidelines.
Current points of attention
Looks
- Be careful in order for the background/foreground color combination to be sufficiently contrasting to allow comfortable content reading;
- Create a coherent, systematic style in the different pages;
- Avoid programming features that may cause screen intermittence.
Structure / Functionality
Organize the pages so they can be read without style page usage;
When necessary, give frames relevant names;
Whenever possible, avoid using features such as applets and interpretable programs that may not be accessible under certain usage conditions;
Mark lists and bullets in ordered lists;
Avoid using tables for page layouts and avoid using markings for visual formatting effects;
Associate the labels to the respective form controls and be careful to position them properly.
Browsing
Browsing mechanisms were planned to allow effective, consistent flows;
Avoid using pages that are updated automatically;
Avoid automatic page redirecting markings;
Offer a feature to skip browsing options and go straight to the content.
