Petrobras’ cultural sponsorship policy is in line with the Company’s Strategic Planning which, in addition to profitability, emphasizes the company’s commitment to social responsibility and to the country’s growth. Petrobras seeks to defend and value the Brazilian culture through a policy of sponsorships that are in social reach, developed with the public policies for the sector, and focused on affirming the Brazilian identity.
Petrobras aims at contributing to strengthening creation, production, dissemination and fruition opportunities for Brazilian culture, to boost people's access to cultural assets and to form new audiences, in addition to encouraging action that uses culture as an social inclusion instrument for kids and young people. Furthermore, it seeks to contribute to the ongoing construction of the Brazilian cultural memory as well, consolidating the work of rescuing, recovering, organizing, and registering our culture’s material and immaterial collections, giving priority to those that are in risk and pursuing to boost access to these collections.
