Introduction
Petrobras is an official sponsor of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (BOC) in the 2005-2008 Olympic Cycle. Check out the events the BOC has promoted:
Olympic Brazil Circuit - The purpose of the Circuit is to develop individual sports that bring many medals in Olympic Games – awarding athletes, keeping them active and attracting audiences.
Olympic Brazil Prize - Created in 1999, the Brazil Olympic Prize crowns the tow main athletes of each season (male and female), in addition to awarding the best in each sport.
Youth Games - The Youth Games were created to promote, from the High-Performance Sport perspective, the practice of sporting activities among young people, who are the base for the sector’s development.
School Olympics (BSGs) - With more than two decades of tradition, the Brazilian School Games are played by pubic and private school system students, who represent the states in each sport.
Olympic Week - The Olympic Day is celebrated on June 23, the date the IOC was established. The Olympic Week is an extension of these festivities.
Varsity Olympiads (BVGs) - In 2005, the Varsity Olympiads (BVGs) set a new era of Brazilian university sports into motion.
