Care in the Drilling

Exploration serves
to show areas where oil and natural gas are most likely to occur,
on land or offshore. The same kind of care exercised by the exploring
teams continues when it comes to drilling wells; everything is
done so as to interfere as little as possible in the natural environment
and in neighboring communities.
In the Amazon forest where important discoveries are being made in
areas as yet unexplored by man, proper respect is shown for vegetation,
any clearings being restricted to what is strictly necessary for drilling.
After removal of the equipment, care is taken to leave the site in
a condition fit for native growth to flourish again or for reforestation.
