Petrobras must be clearly identified, with the use of one of the Petrobras brand versions, in any promotional communication or action piece, regardless of the medium (print, electronic, etc.).

The brand is the sign that identifies the company and works as the focal point in all communication efforts. It must be clearly applied and cannot be subject to dubious or episodic reading.

For your application, select brand version in accordance with the amount of available space and in such a manner as for the brand to be in harmony with the rest of the layout. Keep in mind it is indispensable for the receptor to perceive the brand clearly. Read-up on the basic application rules (protection area, common errors, and minimum size) and keep them in mind while creating a piece containing the Petrobras brand.

For documents that may be photocopied at a later time, use the B&W version (yellow is not preserved when Xeroxed).

Any brand interpretation or interference, regardless of creative excellence, will impair brand reading, leading peoples’ perception of Petrobras’ Visual Identity to be disturbed or confused.

Examples of improper brand use applications to be avoided:

  • splitting the brand over two different background fields;
  • applying the brand on backgrounds that have extremely confusing patterns, such as moirés or when the colors mix with brand colors.
  • graphical interferences with the brand;
  • enclosing the brand in regular or irregular forms/fields;
  • covering part of the brand;
  • applying patterns, gradated colors or textures to the brand; using shades or embossment on the brand;
  • applying the brand on insufficiently contrasting backgrounds;
  • using brand outlines;
  • changing the logo’s letters or redesigning the brand;
  • writing the logo word using an accent;
  • changing symbol/logo dimensions and position.
