The CRACK SEALER is a shale oil emulsion which fills and waterproofs the cracks so that water does not seep inside the road surface.
|
Shale oil gives the property of improving adherence of the mix components and helps rejuvenate the oxidized surface.
 Crack formation is the start of an accelerating process of road surface deterioration when it permits water to seep into the structural layers of the surface, thereby weakening them by the effect of the moisture and also causes the effect called pumping. Pumping occurs from the action of traffic of vehicles which, as they exert pressure on the affected region and the water is expelled, drags with it the fine materials comprising the surface.
