Petrobras produces and offers the distributors the regular “A” type Gasoline, free of anhydrous alcohol. This product is added to gasoline at a percentage established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Supply in compliance with a federal law. The mix is made at the distributors, before the gasoline reaches the service stations, and it can be used in most of the vehicles marketed in the Country.
Regular and additized gasoline have the same octane ratings. The only difference between the two is the presence of a “dispersant detergent” additive in the additized version. By and large, additized gasoline has a name to differentiate it from the regular type. At Petrobras Distribuidora, it is called BR-SUPRA.

This product attends to the National Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuel Agency (NPA) specifications, which are unique to the Brazilian market and have different equivalencies for the other countries.
