Fertilizantes Urea Ammonium

Ammonium is a chemical product (gaseous at room temperature and pressure) used by the fertilizer, pharmaceutical, textile, and industrial refrigeration industries, among others.

In the fertilizer industry, it is a raw material used to produce urea, ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate, MAP and DAP, which can also be used applied directly on the soil. In the Camaçari plant, in Bahia, ammonium is used to produce nitric acid.

Petrobras produces ammonium from natural gas at the Bahia and Sergipe plants, and supplies, mainly, via modals (pipelines and railways), to customers in Northeastern, Midwestern, and Southeastern Brazil, contributing to the maintenance and development of the Country’s strategic sectors.
