- Granulated Fertilizing Urea
Kicking-off its operations in November 2007, Petrobras pioneered granulated urea production in Brazil at its Sergipe nitrogenated fertilizer plant.
Granulated urea stands out for the larger diameter (2 to 4 mm) and uniformity of its grains, a fact that ensures more homogeneous NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium) blends, allowing better results in the crops that use this type of formulation.
Another important characteristic of granulated urea is greater grain hardness and the presence of fewer fine grains, a fact that confers the product more quality.
Granulated urea is indicated for use in more technified crops such as coffee, corn, sugarcane, and cotton.
- Pearled Fertilizing Urea
Pearled urea has been widely used in Brazilian agriculture for a few decades. Its grains (pearls) derive from the use of the pearling process, in which the concentrated liquid product, in drops, comes into contact with a current of hot air in the pearling tower and form the process’ final pearls.
- Industrial Urea
Also known as technical urea, industrial urea is the raw material used in several processes in the furniture (chipboard production), food, textile, and chemical industries, among others.
This product stands out for the absence of formaldehyde and PVA (polyvinyl acetate – a synthetic polymer) in its formulation, ensuring it conformity for industrial use.
