Petrobras Distribuidora, incorporated in 1971 as a subsidiary of Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras, has as its mission to “distribute, industrialize, and market oil derivatives and their correlated products competitively and with and social and environmental responsibility.” Its activities cover nationwide distribution and marketing of diesel fuel, gasoline, fuel oil, aviation fuel, lubricants, and other products derived from oil, natural gas, and ethanol with the strategic objective of enhance its leadership position in the Brazilian fuel distribution market in order to ensure the placement of Petrobras’ products and increase its profitability.
